Out In The Ocean

Date Released: 3/30/2009   Tracks: 12   Sales: 13   Listens: 21

Haunting, rhythmic, uplifting; Out In The Ocean feels like just the tip of the iceberg for Coxswain Insignia. The ethereal but driving melodies combined with the soul searching lyrics and soft voice of front man Brad Singer make this album a complex array of human emotion. Tracks like the album opener "Black Sunrise" and "Tastes Sour" are heavy and deep without overdoing it, like a slow chugging train that never quite reaches the station. While tracks like "Dreamstate" are ghostly yet beautiful.

"Spit your watermelon seeds out the window/and grow yourself a brand new world". A line from the track "Watermelon Seeds" which easily sums up the message of Neutron Emission's debut album "Injustice By Evil Means". It's a simple message of taking what you would normally throw away and using it as a foundation for a brighter tomorrow. Reign Forest Records Venti My Frustrations Music All songs written by Zachary Cole Copyright 2009

Powerlines and Dirt Roads

Date Released: 5/10/2009   Tracks: 5   Sales: 5   Listens: 8

"Powerlines and Dirt Roads" is a collection of b-sides left over from the original recordings of Neutron Emission's debut album "Injustice By Evil Means". Most are still in their rawest form, maintaining that recorded-on-the-spot sound with mainly Zachary Cole's acoustic guitar work and minimal background instruments. A stand out is the original recording of "Little Footsteps" in which Zachary's daughter can be heard playing in the background as he recorded the track in his California home.

Machines Again

Date Released: 5/12/2009   Tracks: 12   Sales: 10   Listens: 20

Eccentric Arcade's sophomore album continues to prove that they are true to their name. "Machines Again" is like the soundtrack to a steampunk utopia, with lyrics like the torn out pages of a raving madman's diary. This album pushes Arcade past their comfort zone and onto a new plateau that is sure to please and astound listeners. Listen for guest vocalist Aaron O'Blivion of Fait Accompli on the standout track "Rust and Mildew". But don't get to comfortable, cuz the mood can change at any time.

The Rubbers

Date Released: 5/12/2009   Tracks: 10   Sales: 5   Listens: 9

Please give our music a chance. We just wanna make music that makes people happy and helps them learn. People always think our music is suggestive and we don't know where they get that??? "Banana in my Pocket" is about eating your fruits and veggies, "I'll Show You Mine" is about sharing your toys, and "Dare You To Touch It" is about playing with bugs in the garden. What's so suggestive about that??? Just give us a chance and we promise you'll love The Rubbers!

Normal Nightmare

Date Released: 6/3/2009   Tracks: 12   Sales: 7   Listens: 8

Coxswain Insignia's sophomore album "Normal Nightmare" is far and beyond where they originally set off on their debut album "Out in the Ocean", they've sailed somewhere else completely. Coxswain really puts their use of haunting melodies to work on this album, where each song unfolds like a dream you're trying to tear yourself out of, but can't let go. It's a musical nightmare you won't want to wake up from with Brad Singer's voice telling you it's safe, but his lyrics telling you to run.

album artwork

Rust and Mildew

Date Released: 6/4/2009   Tracks: 3   Sales: 8   Listens: 10

The debut single from the long awaited second album "Machines Again" from Eccentric Arcade. Frontman Riki Milligan and guest vocalist Aaron O'Blivion of Fait Accompli share verses with fantastic harmony and vocal range, while the raw, driving power of the music pushes the song over the edge. This song is further proof that Arcade refuses to fit into any one genre. Just when you think you know what's coming a song like "Rust and Mildew" is there to prove you wrong.

album artwork

The Ballad of Sasparilla Jones(single)

Date Released: 6/18/2009   Tracks: 3   Sales: 6   Listens: 6

The second single off of the long awaited album "Machines Again". This song is slow and heavy all at the same time, a song about an old man the world has long since forgotten and who has long since forgotten the world. A victim of his own hubris, a prisoner of his own mind. This is the ballad of Sasparilla Jones. This single also contains the tracks "Plain As Day" and "Stay Away" from Eccentric Arcade's "Machines Again".

Son of a Gun, Daughter of a Knife(single)

Date Released: 6/18/2009   Tracks: 3   Sales: 10   Listens: 9

A boy with a gun, a girl with a knife. Which one are you more afraid of? Which one do you trust? Is it better to be shot in the back or stabbed in the back? It's the lesser of two evils on the first single from Coxswain Insignia's "Normal Nightmare". What to do, where to turn, who to trust? It's decisions like this that we face every day, but never to such an extreme as this. Also featuring "Goodbye Universe" and "Hello Hysteria" from "Normal Nightmare".

The Hands That Wouldn't Come Clean(single)

Date Released: 7/4/2009   Tracks: 3   Sales: 5   Listens: 5

Imagine waking up and finding your hands caked with dirt and dried blood. You have no idea how it got there or who/what/where it's from. No matter how hard you try it refuses to be scrubbed off, and everywhere you go everyone looks at you with judging eyes. They know what you've done, but you don't even know what you've done yourself. Such is the nightmare behind the second single from Coxswain Insignia's "Normal Nightmare". Also featuring "Lovely Gloves" and "Scared Of It All".

Technicolor Yawn

Date Released: 7/14/2009   Tracks: 12   Sales: 10   Listens: 15

No genre is safe on Eccentric Arcade's third album and first release on their own RA Records. Bored with the turn most music has taken these days, Arcade has decided to show everyone how it's done. From the ground shaking bass of the album opener "Rowdy All The Time", a rap track with the infamous Tech N9ne, to the slow pop sounds of "Laying in the Sunshine" or the whiplash inducing metal of "Murder You Personally". If music today makes you wanna puke, "Technicolor Yawn" will cure what ails you.

The Whisperer in Darkness

Date Released: 7/15/2009   Tracks: 11   Sales: 12   Listens: 29

Solomon X. Lambert makes a strong and strange debut with "The Whisperer in Darkness". Discovered by RA Records, Solomon pushes the boundaries of music so far that he is in an entirely new realm of his own. Using everything from harp guitars to crystal water glasses to carefully construct and deconstruct his music, he weaves stories of an unknown time and place. Inspired greatly by the work of author H.P. Lovecraft, Solomon X. Lambert will have you thinking(and listening)twice.

Parody(single)

Date Released: 7/20/2009   Tracks: 4   Sales: 5   Listens: 5

The first single from Eccentric Arcade's third album and first release on their own RA Records. "Parody" holds a mirror up to modern music and judges it, calling it exactly what it is: a parody. In an industry where every other band is lost among the sea of replicas generating the same thing over and over, Eccentric Arcade does what they can to stand above the rest. And they succeed. This single also features properly mixed and complete versions of songs from the leaked version of the album.

Songs from the Treehouse

Date Released: 7/28/2009   Tracks: 11   Sales: 6   Listens: 12

Zachary Cole's newest album, which was recorded entirely in a home built recording studio within a treehouse in Cole's Southern California backyard, has a much different outlook on life than his first release. Cole is a little less brooding and alot more at peace which is obvious on tracks like "California Sunrise", but still manages to keep just enough angst simmering for tracks like "Cellular Structure". This album is also carbon neutral and the packaging is printed on 100% recycled material.

album artwork

Rowdy All The Time(single)

Date Released: 8/14/2009   Tracks: 4   Sales: 9   Listens: 9

Eccentric Arcade's second single from the album "Technicolor Yawn". This bass heavy track featuring rap superstar Tech N9ne is an impossible to resist anthem for anyone that likes to shake things up. This song was carefully designed to rattle every window in the neighborhood. If you're at a party or just rollin' down the street with your windows down and the volume up, this is the track that needs to be playing. This single also features completed tracks from the leaked version of the album.

Home At The Edge

Date Released: 9/2/2009   Tracks: 5   Sales: 10   Listens: 13

In the grand tradition of "The Wall" and "Tommy" comes Coxswain Insignia's "Home At The Edge", a concept album that will break your heart and strum its strings all at once. The album follows a young man's fall from grace and descent into utter nothingness and near madness before seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. A mere five tracks that spans almost an hour of incredibly intricate and emotional music. A tear jerking masterpiece that is a must have for any Coxswain or concept album fan.

Life Theme (single)

Date Released: 10/12/2009   Tracks: 2   Sales: 12   Listens: 19

Eccentric Arcade's first new song since the release of their album "Technicolor Yawn". "Life Theme" is a perfectly deconstructed acoustic/electronic chronicling of the day-to-day toils we call life. The track is beautifully structured and then broken down in all the right places so the music fits right in with the theme of the lyrics. "Life Theme" will be on Arcade's as of yet untitled upcoming album. This single also features "Life Theme" performed live from the Xenophilia Tour

Eccentric Arcade likes to keep people on their toes, and this may be one of the most off-the-wall, out-of-left-field move they've ever made. EA expressed an interest of recording a rock version of the Britney Spears' track "3". After getting a thumbs up from Zandergriff Miggs about the idea, Arcade decided to go for it. This single also features a music video made in the studio during the recording of the song, which was shot by the band themselves.

Dirt Farmer

Date Released: 4/6/2010   Tracks: 10   Sales: 10   Listens: 17

At the tender age of 24, Tucker Jackson already has plenty to sing about. Because like any good country singer, he sings about what he knows. His everyday life serves as the inspiration behind every track on his debut album, "Dirt Farmer". Songs of reminiscence like "My First" and "That Old Tire Swing". Songs of love like "God Answered My Prayers (When I Met You)". Even just plain old fun songs like "Four Basic Food Groups" and "Front Porch Friday Night". This album is an everyman's diary.

The Album

However, this is not an album that can be defined by a color. It is not white, black, red or blue; it is complementary. It is simply..."The Album". I Know What You Are

Date Released: 10/19/2010   Tracks: 1   Sales: 10   Listens: 19

In light of the recent increase in tragic suicides stemming from cowardly bullying, Eccentric Arcade/Fait Accompli hybrid, Nom de Guerre, has returned. The new single, "I Know What You Are", is aptly described by Aaron O'blivion as "Aggro-Amalgam with unexpected orchestral notes." The single is undeniably angry, with crunching guitars and drum patterns that will stutter your heartbeat; but the soft, sweet sounds of the orchestra poke through like rays of hope. It's time to stand up!

Playing In Traffic Tour DVD/CD Combo Pack

Date Released: 8/16/2011   Tracks: 20   Sales: 7   Listens: 9

On Monday, July 4th 2011, Eccentric Arcade set into motion a unique tour experience known as the Playing In Traffic Tour. The concept: to travel across the country and randomly perform short sets right in the middle of the street. The band hit the road in a tour bus followed by a truck carrying the band's equipment and a small stage. At the drop of a hat the band would give the signal to pull over, block off traffic, erect the stage, and proceed to have an impromptu concert. Each performance, known as PIT stops, generally consisted of only a song or two in order to avoid being shut down by the local authorities. Some PIT stops featured huge crowds of passersby and local Amalgamates, others saw the band performing for only a handful of people on the street, but each show was performed with the passion and energy of a sold out arena concert. Each show was filmed with high definition cameras and professionally recorded for this DVD/C-D combo pack. The DVD features live performances of Eccentric Arcade's biggest hits, deep cuts, and covers, with a live C-D to match that also features a brand new song performed in Spokane, WA. This DVD/C-D combo pack is a must have for any hardcore Amalgamate, and is exclusively available to members of the official Eccentric Arcade fan club, The Tower. Did you make it to a show? Relive the moment again and again from the comfort of your own home. Missed a show? With high quality video and sound it will be like the band is playing right in your living room. Snacks, Hugs & Rock 'N' Roll

Date Released: 10/4/2011   Tracks: 10   Sales: 6   Listens: 7

Nearly two years after their debut album, and a year on the road playing to sold out venues across the country, Mac & Cheese are back! Their self-titled debut album was an instant kids' favorite, and even got them enough recognition to warrant several offers from multiple networks for Mac & Cheese to star in their own children's television show. While on the road, Jared "Mac" Mackenzie and Michael "Cheese" Colby thought long and hard about their various television offers. While they enjoyed performing in front of thousands of children on tour, they wondered what it might be like to perform every week for millions of children around the world on their own show. In the end, Mac & Cheese declined the multitude of television offers after they came to the realization that the true spirit of their music was something that could never be relived through a TV show. So, Mac & Cheese returned to the studio and created "Snacks, Hugs, & Rock 'n' Roll". "Snacks" maintains the same bouncy musical style and catchy lyrics as their debut, while at the same time expanding the overall world of Mac & Cheese. "Professor Roy G. Biv" introduces a character of the same name who helps Mac & Cheese teach children about the colors of the rainbow, while simultaneously teaching children that everybody is the same, regardless of color. "Wash 'Em" is another educational song, featuring an earworm of a chorus that is sure to help remind kids about the importance of washing their hands. "Where Did Everybody Go?" is guaranteed to be a live favorite, involving kids in a huge on-stage game of Hide And Seek. "Slug-A-Bug" is the perfect car-ride sing-along, and "Have A Seat" is Mac & Cheese's own personal spin on a classic party game: Musical Chairs. Every kid loves Mac & Cheese, and they're dishing up seconds with "Snacks, Hugs and Rock 'n' Roll". Copyright 2011 Funshine Records All songs written by J. Mackenzie and M. It Never Stops Being Now

Date Released: 12/20/2011   Tracks: 10   Sales: 15   Listens: 29

"It Never Stops Being Now" begins Eccentric Arcade's foray into all new territory. Inspired by a yearning for the music of their childhood, the Arcade set out to write and record an album indicative of the '90s. The Arcade have previously released songs with a '90s vibe (i.e. "History is History"), but this is a full L.P.'s worth of reminiscence. Killing two birds with one stone, The Arcade recorded the album in Seattle, WA-the birthplace of Grunge-where they were inking a record deal with local Goth Rock virtuosos, Vapid. While "It Never Stops Being Now" has plenty of grungy tracks to offer, it is by no means a purely Grunge inspired album. Alternative Rock, Indie Rock, and even Ska is spread throughout the album to create a multi-textural slice of nostalgia. From the Alt-Rock album opener, "Almost", Eccentric Arcade seem to easily meld into the sounds of the '90s. The second track, "Ropeburn", is aptly named. It's rough, ragged, and raw, with heavy distortion that would make Soundgarden proud. "Crucifixer Upper" is a grungy masterpiece in the vein of Nirvana, while "Cat's Out of the Bag" takes a turn into Indie Rock territory at the corner of Weezer and Sonic Youth. "Disaster Girl" is an Alt-Rock love song evocative of Toad The Wet Sprocket. Arcade channels early No Doubt for "In The Corner" before slipping back into something Grunge for "Sticky". "Phineas Gage" is an upbeat biographical ditty reminiscent of The Presidents of the United States of America. "Little Grey Cloud", which is slow and churning like the Seattle thunderclouds that inspired it, is comparative to Alice in Chains, whereas the album closer, "Heel of the Loaf", is a self-depricating anthem with characteristics of early Silverchair. Many bands release albums that try to capture the essence of a certain genre, but Eccentric Arcade have produced an album that captures the essence of a certain place in time. Won't you put on your Doc Martins and flannel, and come along for the ride?

Hunt the Monster Down

Date Released: 1/31/2012   Tracks: 10   Sales: 10   Listens: 20

"Hunt the Monster Down" is the debut album from Seattle, WA based Goth Rockers, Vapid. From the first deep, thumping bass notes of the eponymous opening track, Vapid quickly sink their hooks into their listeners. Once you've heard the first few moments of the nearly symphonic "The Golden Face of God", you quickly realize that this isn't just music you hear; it's music you feel. Oen McIllwain's guitar work on "Pitchers of Fire" is as frenzied and fluid as the heat waves rising from the flames themselves. Drummer Zana Matthews and keyboardist Jeremy Skyhorse work together magnificently to ever-so-slightly raise and lower the tempo at key points in "The Temperature of the Room", though Skyhorse's talents truly shine on the enchanting "Woolgathering". Bassist Io Lawless, along with drummer Matthews, set a pounding and explosive backbeat for "Mind Field", while guitarist McIllwain demonstrates his range on the melodic album closer, "Dilute the Sky". And, of course, no band is complete without a vocalist, and Nathaniel Bookbinder does not disappoint. From his songwriting to his singing, it's obvious that the band would not be the same without his presence. His lyrics are deep and heartfelt; so close to home their almost eerily accurate. His voice is like bittersweet chocolate; deep and slightly rough, but sweet and soft at the right times. There is no song on Vapid's debut that Bookbinder's talents don't shine across. "Hunt the Monster Down" is a juggernaut of a debut from Vapid. It's heavy, both musically and emotionally, but it doesn't ever leave you feeling bogged down. You feel the music, you feel the lyrics. It is the soundtrack to your life, you just don't know it yet. If Vapid can continue this vibe on through their second album and overcome the dreaded Sophomore Slump, then I have a feeling they will be around for a long time.

Disaster Girl (single)

Date Released: 2/14/2012   Tracks: 1   Sales: 9   Listens: 10

"Disaster Girl", Eccentric Arcade's second single from their '90s throwback album, "It Never Stops Being Now", is the chronicling of a traditional bad girl. Rough around the edges, and doesn't care about anyone or anything...or so she would have you believe. She does what she wants, with no concern for the future because she doesn't think she has one. She throws caution to the wind, often ending up broken and bruised at the end of a terrible decision. But despite her go-nowhere, screw-everything attitude, you can't help but love her. You see through her tough exterior to the frailty inside. She's a mess, but a gorgeous one, and your heart bleeds for her. Sometimes something beautiful can come from a disaster. After all, wildflowers grow from the ashes of prairie fires.

Wanted You More (feat. Alison Jones)

Date Released: 2/20/2012   Tracks: 1   Sales: 6   Listens: 8

Eccentric Arcade are known for always doing what is least expected of them. Just when it seems like you may have them pegged, they turn around and do something completely out of left field. One of their biggest left field moments was when the band spontaneously decided to put their own spin on the Britney Spears song "3"; a move that threw everyone for a loop. This time they've decided to go in a different direction: country. EA frontman Riki Milligan has a rather eclectic musical palette, and has been indulging in more country as of late. Having fallen in love with the Lady Antebellum song "Wanted You More", Milligan knew that it was something the Arcade needed to take a shot at. When it came time to choose a female vocalist to help round out the song, Milligan and the crew immediately reached out to Alison Jones of bigPEBBLE fame. Jones had previously worked with RA Records' own country artist Tucker Jackson on her solo album, so the boys in the Arcade knew that her powerful voice worked well in the southern vein. EA and Jones took to the studio one afternoon and emerged a few hours later with their own signature take on "Wanted You More", making the song slightly more musically and emotionally haunting. Jones and Milligan's vocal give and take make an already heartfelt song of lost love feel all the more real, even changing a lyric from "I don't need you anymore" to "I still need you like before". The song simultaneously opens the wound and gently soothes it. Recorded exclusively for members of The Tower. Alison Jones appears courtesy of Shadow Box Recordings.

Crucifixer Upper (single)

Date Released: 3/20/2012   Tracks: 2   Sales: 11   Listens: 19

The third single from Eccentric Arcade's '90s throwback album "It Never Stops Being Now" is a tale of lost faith. When someone is pushed to the very brink, and everything they once believed in has all but vanished, what do they turn to? They wander a broken road of heartache and regret, searching for something to once again believe in. Just because faith is lost, that doesn't mean it cannot be found again. This single also features a stripped down acoustic version of "Crucifixer Upper", which some listeners may argue is even more raw than the album version.

Modern Day Cowboy

Date Released: 4/24/2012   Tracks: 10   Sales: 13   Listens: 20

It's been two years since Tucker Jackson made his debut on RA Records with "Dirt Farmer", and he's ready to kick up some dust with his sophomore release "Modern Day Cowboy". Tucker Jackson has been busy these past two years, but he hasn't been living the glamorous life of a country superstar, touring the country and playing to sold out arenas. He's been busy writing songs for his latest album, and working on the family farm, which he inherited last year. Country singers live life just a little bit differently. While most musicians live for the open road and the roar of the crowd, country folk live for the open field and the roar of the tractor. Just because Tucker writes and records music doesn't mean that he's forgotten the value of a hard day's work. He grew up on the family farm in Austin, Texas, where he learned to work before he learned to rock. Farming by day, playing by night; he IS a modern day cowboy. Tucker brings that rough and rugged country feel that we all loved on "Dirt Farmer" back for "Modern Day Cowboy", and then some. This album is rougher, tougher, and grittier than "Dirt Farmer", with boot stompin' anthems like "Kickin' Up Dust" and the surefire southern hit "Beer for the Week, Whiskey for the Weekend". Tucker channels other country superstars like Eric Church and Brantley Gilbert on this album, giving all the songs just the right amount of a rough edge that really makes you hear the sweat and the dirt that went into these songs. Though, not every song is meant to be blared by the bonfire; some are meant to be played softly by candlelight. Songs like "That's When I Knew We'd Say 'I Do'", and "In Love is a Long, Long Way to Fall" will tug on your heartstrings just as much as some of the other songs will move your feet. So, if you've got sweat on your back, callouses on your hands, and dust on your face...you may be a modern day cowboy, too. And this is your soundtrack.
