Grace here, CEO of "Pocket Taco". Our Corporate Motto is "Zing!", and if you take a listen to our bands and albums, you'll understand why!

We stem from small humble beginnings, remembering when music was music and videos were king. When Bieber fans were barely zygotes in their mother's fleshy wombs, and men were men and had cocktails at 5 with the boys down at that dive bar nobody talks about but everybody knows.

Come, listen, fall in love with us. Remember our name. Pocket Taco. We will reign Supreme.

Oceanic Taint

Date Released: 9/21/2010   Tracks: 4   Sales: 12   Listens: 25

Experimental industrial goth with a lot of its influence from the sea. The Squidbitchez sophmore album will drown your ears in an ocean of sound.

Oxygen

Date Released: 9/21/2010   Tracks: 12   Sales: 11   Listens: 17

Described a cross between Lacuna Coil, Kittie and Walls of Jericho, "Oxygen" is sure to leave you breathless. Marguerite's alluring vocals are both overwhelming and disturbing, worthy of a listen.

Meet Me At The Dive Bar

Date Released: 9/22/2010   Tracks: 8   Sales: 7   Listens: 14

Fiesty and Flaming tracks inspired and taken from their 2010 Apprentice Tour, including a never-before-released track, "Stiv!", this one is worth keeping! Says Marguerite: 'I really knew we had something special when one of our fans came up on stage and tried to plonk Antoinette over the head with her own violin. Good times... they end too soon man...' Lying in the Bathtub

Date Released: 9/23/2010   Tracks: 11   Sales: 9   Listens: 14

This almost autobiographical first release of Metalcore band Truth Finders will knock the metal hair right off your head as you thrash, mosh, crowd surf and fight your way through every track. Don't let the titles fool you - this is one f'ed up mess of an album, inspired by Rex's 6-month bender and Big Rob's string of heartbreaking love fests. We're pretty sure we lost Zombie somewhere in the poconos, but that's conjecture. He's probably asleep in the trunk of Jamalien's car.

Screw the Scandals

Date Released: 10/8/2010   Tracks: 5   Sales: 16   Listens: 44

Full of anger, lust, and a serious amount of Grey Goose vodka, Cherry Vendetta has brought you some eargasmic stuff to consume. We ended up having to sneak in to the studio to finish it off as Cherry went off the deep end and perhaps might have broken a thing or two... Dudes need to buy the EP so we can pay to have a soundproof wall replaced... RAWR! Muffin, Maraschino, Cherry, & Bombe

Peepshow

Date Released: 10/17/2010   Tracks: 16   Sales: 15   Listens: 43

Fans will be happy to see some tracks from the "Screw The Scandals" EP made it to their debut album, "Peepshow". Many hours of sweaty scandalous rowdy raunchy beats and licks were thrust into the well-oiled machine that is the music industry to give you this writhing body of sound and fury. You won't be able to help yourselves when you hear this. Get up and dance, screw around, beat against the walls. We dare you to push that dial up to 12. Fuck the neighbors, enjoy the Peepshow.

Teuthology

Date Released: 10/22/2010   Tracks: 13   Sales: 11   Listens: 24

Coming at the heels of their hit debut album "Tales from the Psych Ward" comes "Teuthology", a series of industrial shanties and forlorn forays into the dark deep waters of music and matter. Featuring a cover of "Mexican Moon" and a re-release of "Ink Stains" from their Oceanic Taint EP, this album left Marguerite and Antoinette gasping by the end, and they hope it does the same for you.

album artwork

Lie to Me

Date Released: 11/7/2010   Tracks: 3   Sales: 8   Listens: 14

These songs were found on a scratched up tape under the driver's seat of Rex's van. Digitally remastered in the studio, a 5th of vodka is recommended while listening, as that is what was probably consumed while recording.

Amplified Shiver

Date Released: 1/18/2011   Tracks: 6   Sales: 16   Listens: 31

Songs made while on the road with The Chosen Rejects. Touring the UK was a pretty fucking amazing experience and returning home was a bit of a let down. Would definitely hang out across the pond again. The Brits are crazy fuckers which is right up our alley and they really appreciate Cherry's angry sweltering performances. Booze, bros, and barbiturates can be a great recipe for music. Thanks to TCR, and to the UK, we'll never be the same. Fuckin' hell.

Wreckage

Date Released: 1/20/2011   Tracks: 12   Sales: 19   Listens: 40

After a harrowing journey for us through Marguerite's downward spiral into drugs and eventual rehabilitation, here comes a collection that is almost autobiographical in nature. Antoinette's viola starts us down the haunting path with the first track, and Marguerite's voice is chilling during "Skin and Bones". This album was a labor of the most bittersweet nature. We are still reeling from it and are proud of everything we've accomplished here. We hope you enjoy.

Late At Night

Date Released: 2/3/2011   Tracks: 5   Sales: 10   Listens: 20

Recorded live at the Dive Bar, Malaika's debut EP is a warm and sultry contribution to the jazz community and the music scene at large. Her caramel voice resonates through the building and the audience's appreciative chuckles and applause through her ad-libs on Smiles with Style bring you right there with them. Malaika is a gentle soul and her band accompanies her beautifully, blending brass, strings and percussion in perfect time.

Date Released: 3/4/2011   Tracks: 12   Sales: 11   Listens: 15

After hours of recording Malaika's honey-glazed voice, we are sure you will agree that her debut album is worth the wait. Mchumba's mellow saxophone opens up the album on "Smoke and Mirrors" and the last notes on "Read My Lips" will leave you breathless. Malaika - songstress Mchumba - saxophone James - drums/percussion Charles - standing bass

Meltdown (Single)

Date Released: 3/11/2011   Tracks: 2   Sales: 17   Listens: 26

Found in archives, put to music. Maggie backstage screaming and tearing at her clothes, her hair, her face, begging me for drugs. I am weeping and I can't get her to snap out of it. Jerry Lucifer and co. are there and he grabs her and shoves her head into a sink of cold water. The show is over. That is our song. The Horror show - that is Jerry's song. The sound samples seem like they come from a horror film, and the terrifying thing is they aren't - it's Maggie and she won't stop screaming...

B*tch

Date Released: 6/16/2011   Tracks: 2   Sales: 15   Listens: 23

Cherry is cranky, Mara is in heat. Bombe's been experimenting with popsicles and vodka, while Muffin is baked in more ways than one. What better time to release a single? We have an album in the works but we know the fans have been rioting for something new so who are we to say no? We scraped together enough coin for a new amp and mic since Cherry kicked the shit out of her previous gear, and she sounds bigger, badder, and bitchier on this new single. She gives voice to everything that's been going on the past while, and then some. Enjoy us, bitches, unless you feel like you've bitten off more than you can chew. This is one album with just as much bite as there is barking. Rar!

A Year in the Life Of...

Date Released: 6/17/2011   Tracks: 14   Sales: 20   Listens: 36

Going from nobodies to the last word in riot grrrl rock, Cherry Vendetta has certainly had an interesting year - especially the last few months. It is time to reveal the truth - Cherry has been so cranky and much more vocal about her hatred of Billy lately because they had hooked up a few times during the April Fool's Ball tour, "For Old Times' Sake" a.k.a. both were horny and drunk. Cherry ended up pregnant, and of course, Billy called her everything under the book and insisted it wasn't his. Much as she wished that were true, it wasn't. Cherry behaved. She had stopped drinking, smoking, everything. It was making her extra pissy and cranky but man - it was creating some incredible music. Bombe, Mara, and Muffin were ready to support her through it and do whatever was necessary. But Mara ended up disappearing for a while, absorbed in her romantic endeavors with Jerry from The Chosen Rejects. Bombe booked herself into rehab for a while when she realized that it was killing her to not drink just because Cherry wasn't. Muffin went on walkabout to "find herself" but ended up in a cornfield somewhere, unsure of how she got there and definitely stranger than she was before. Cherry and Billy encountered each other at a bar one night, a fight ensued, and she ended up miscarrying their child. Instead of feeling sorry for herself it made her angrier, tougher. She poured more energy into this album than she has put into anything in her life - so much so that it landed her straight in the hospital, amid rumors of her having an overdose or alcohol poisoning. The final contribution on this album, a cover of Dinosaur Junior's "Get Me", was Cherry's very deliberate choice and a special message to the man who has put her through so much misery in the past little while. To the rumormongers and the friends of Billy, we say FUCK YOU. To our fans, we say THANK YOU. Here is a year in the life of Cherry Vendetta.

Within Screwtape's Grasp Pt. 1

Date Released: 7/20/2011   Tracks: 16   Sales: 18   Listens: 26

After Marguerite's meltdown, the girls needed rest. They crossed the ocean to find it in a small town with a rather bloody history. They felt they would be fit to do as they pleased and get some well-earned respite. All of the rumors about the town they were staying in were true, and then some. It was beautiful and alluring and inspiring. Folks were friendly but guarded around them, which should have been the first clue. Haunted sounds would come calling them at night. It sounded like the ocean crying, then a woman screaming, then silence. Utter silence. The two would go to the local pub and hear whispers of what was lurking beneath the surface of the quaint village. Antoinette took to fiddling out tunes to amuse herself and other patrons. She didn't know, ok? *They* didn't know! Marguerite would wake up in the night to hear the viola screeching out ear-splitting music. Antoinette would not respond to her pleas to stop. After all that Marguerite had been through, she was helpless to return the favor and bring Antoinette out of her stupor. She feared her friend was going mad... Marguerite called others for help, but at first they didn't believe her. Accused her of being on drugs again, making things up. One night, she entered Antoinette's room and wept in fear - noises, shadows, things she could not comprehend. How on earth could she fix this? Who on earth would help her? There was but one choice. (continued in "Without Screwtape's Grasp Pt. 2" by Lucifer and the Long Pigs. Get it to have the complete tale in 2 discs.)

Southern Lobotomy

Date Released: 8/6/2011   Tracks: 9   Sales: 7   Listens: 7

Thanks to a lot of in-fighting and misunderstandings as well as both Rob & Jam sleeping with the same cougar band-aid, Truthfinders ended up breaking up, making up, breaking up, and pasting themselves back together again. It took everything Sexasaurus Rex had not to tell them both to fuck off and just get a new guitarist and bass player. But they'd been through too much not to sort it out, and bros before hos, bitches. They finally found Zombie and started making music again. It was angry and lusty and good. Felt like a "Southern Lobotomy" as Rex put it - no more thinking with the brain down below.

Tragic 8-Ball

Date Released: 9/29/2011   Tracks: 12   Sales: 17   Listens: 36

So some funny things can happen when a girl goes on walkabout. I hitched a ride out into the wild blue and ended up half-naked and deranged in a cornfield somewhere. I don't remember much about how I arrived but I do remember waking up feeling all bruised and shiny. I found me an 8-ball and boy do I wish I meant the toy. It showed me things I've never seen before. Colors and sounds and all sorts of glorious... thingies... ...I'm sorry, what? Right. The 8-ball of dooooom. I blame it for this whole tragic mess. Cherry told me so. I wouldn't listen. I couldn't listen. The magical caress of that 8-ball told me so. Found a sign that said "Keep off the Grass" and I thought what the fuck crazy fools, the grass is way greener and cleaner and meaner but at least it's not going to wreck you and make you wish you were dead. This album is for you and you and especially YOU. This album is for me too.

Hell's Belles

Date Released: 10/15/2011   Tracks: 16   Sales: 15   Listens: 28

Just in time for Helloween, Cherry Vendetta releases Hell's Belles to move you to commit as many sins as possible. Fierce, angry, salacious music to move you. Cherry and co have outdone themselves, pouring on the aggression with a healthy dose of vodka and smoke. After some rest and time to reflect, Cherry sat her ass down at a table and wrote and wrote until her eyes turned black. She was like a woman possessed, wanting to pour out all the vile, putrid hate in her heart and use it to create some visceral, intense music. This is not an album to listen to around your mother. Not for the faint of heart. Listen with caution. This is not the Cherry Vendetta you've heard before. This is something new. Something... angrier. Feast upon the saucy morsels laid before you. Track by track, you will fall in love with us again. We did this for you. The fans. Because we fucking love every last one of you, that's why. Except you, Billy. You are still a turkey fucker.

Some Like It In The Pot Nine Days Old

Date Released: 1/9/2012   Tracks: 13   Sales: 15   Listens: 31

Soooo. Um. Remember that 8-ball I got to play with? It was fun. Lots of fun. TONS of fun. Too much fun. Rehabilitation is kind of like being wrung through one of those old-fashioned clothing thingies, uhhh I can't think of the name but you know, the two cylinders that flatten you like a pancake? And you are left as nothing, a dry husk. That was me. Then. This is me. Now. I shiver and I shake and I shimmy and I still drum like a motherfucker and I dare you to find a better one. Yes, yes, you all told me so. I couldn't resist. I wouldn't. I didn't. It's kind of like being a kid again, being watched like a hawk and people are feeding you things they think will make you feel better, and all I keep thinking of is that pretty 8-ball but I am learning to resist.

Banshee

Date Released: 1/27/2012   Tracks: 12   Sales: 10   Listens: 14

After a long and greatly-needed hiatus, Antoinette & Marguerite are back with a mythical, haunting release. Voices aged by all they've been through, the girls seem more creature than woman, and we dare you not to be pulled into their lyrical webs. Stripping the music to the bare bones of things, the duo has returned to their roots and set tracks to folkloric tunes as well as club mixes. From Siren all the way to the title track, Banshee, the ebbs and flows of this oceanic adventure are sure to rock you in ways unfathomable. Antoinette would like to dedicate this album to her new heroes, Lucifer & the Long Pigs. Without them, she would be lost. Marguerite would like to dedicate this album to everyone who believed in them. They are both grateful for everything they've accomplished. This is the Squidbitchez rising up from the wreckage of their lives, emerging triumphant, and ready to captivate you all.

Dischord

Date Released: 3/12/2012   Tracks: 10   Sales: 13   Listens: 24

Hyperion did so decree, that the dissonant sounds emitted by the quartet would be inflicted upon the masses. And thus, it was so, and so it was, that Distopia came to be. And then responded Hestia, the chaotic throes of passion and woe shall betide all who would listen. And thus, so it was, and it was so, the Spartan Seduction began. So said Hespius to Hermes: All the stories in between, those that are true and those that had never been, will fill minds and spirits and hearts in fits and stops and starts. And all that's left is a Corrugated Soul. Hermes took the words both heft and hewn and prayed to the gods of sun and moon and low and behold, Dischord is the boon.

Date Released: 5/22/2012   Tracks: 9   Sales: 3   Listens: 3

Hermes woke in Erebus and thus he spoke to Hespius who then informed Hyperion whom Hestia relied upon Ah, Hestia She danced with Gods against the odds And left the Moerae feeling as frauds For Hermes Selene shone down upon their crowns And then did all their sorrows drown Oh Hespius An errand deep He moved to keep An audience with with Endymion, asleep Finally, Hyperion Walked with the dead All in his head Though every step was filled with dread And thus they escaped from Tartarus.
