Reverend Peter Roman's Rock Band

A Life So Strange, The Music's Saintly

Genre Christian       Band Created 11/24/2008       Fan Base 3       Total Sales 3

Reverend Roman Peter lived a strange life, to say the least. He was one of two twins, both from the town of Cinnara. He was taken by foster parents from Heart's Valley while his twin stayed in the town and was raised by nuns. The latter brother eventually died when an overzealous towns person made malicious charges against him. Reverend Roman Peter, however, knew nothing of this at all.
He did, however, join his twin in the calling of the church. He became a priest. He loved the open road, so he toured with a circus. Through the week they would set up their carnival of earthly desires, and on Sunday's he would rage at the towns folk for attending. This went on for some time, until he condemned to loudly and honesty everything he disliked about the carnival. He was fired, and moved back to a church in Heart's Valley.
He managed that church until he met a young girl, who was addicted to a strange new drug. She seduced him, and soon he found himself staring down gang members. He, too, began using the drug. But he recovered, after taking down the gang. And then he started a splinter church, which grew into a world wide cult. Eventually he moved into a submarine bubble lair, where the Government's of the World tracked him down and torpedoed him.
Having died, his brain was then brought back to life by werHitler (who should really be called Hitlerwulf) for the purpose of using religion to take over the world. The Reverend rebelled, however, and escaped to America with a rock and roll band. He and that band began mixing together songs of praise with their rock and roll roots, leading to the Reverend's band.

Sir Sturgeon Fish on the acquisition: "It was time that we moved in a more diverse circle. All of our bands so far are heathens, and as well as that sells, we might as well cover all our basis. I suspect in the future we will sign bands from all religion that want to spread their messages. Except the FSM. I refuse to believe those people exist."

Rev Roman's Disturbingly Familiar Xmas Song

Date Released: 12/3/2008   Tracks: 6
Sales: 3   Listens: 5

The first EP from the fanatical Reverend Peter Roman reworks classics into new tirades against the modern secular immoral society. Consider, for example, "Violent Light", which begins gently but slowly arrives at a condemnation of a society unwilling to mete out justice Old Testament style. The finale is a story-song that describes a band following the road of Satan with sex and drugs. They die in a horrible car-crash on Christmas Eve as poetic justice for their terrible ways.
