Band Bio
Pool of Users is a post-post-post industrial band of octogenarians from the flatlands of West Virginia. When not playing canasta, practicing water yoga or making music by clanging the collected works of Can together, the band enjoys making origami figures of former Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan. They would tour if only they didn't hate young people so much.
Known to their rabid fan base as "Pool", the band has long eschewed recording as dated and a "drag", but after repeated requests from long time fan Yoko Ono the band has finally decided to release some of their recorded work. The first release will be the original soundtrack for the film "Scared Yet?" from acclaimed German grindhouse director Dieter Von ScheiÃehaus. A full length album of original material is also in the works.

On Oui
Date Released: 7/25/2009
Tracks: 5 A spring tour through Europe sounded like a great idea to the Pool when they set out in March '09, but the tour was beset by issues from day one. When they found themselves trapped in Dijon, France due to a fly-by-night promoter and a broken down van, they decided to make use of the forced downtime to write some new material. And "On Oui" was born. Produced by: Franz Wanderhosen Engineered by: Pierre L'Fuelle Recorded at: Maison de la moutarde Studios |

Positively Negative
Date Released: 6/17/2008
Tracks: 11 Positively Negative is the second release from Pool of Users. The album is the perfect encapsulation of the band's esthetic and features 10 original songs and the Pool's take on the Bob Marley classic Natty Dread. Recorded in Berlin, Positively Negative was produced by the famed industrial production team of Sturm und Drang, engineered by Bob Schaudenfreude and mastered by Jurgen Von Gedrückt. It is and always will be a morose masterpiece. ENJOY! |

Scared Yet? Original Soundtrack
Date Released: 3/2/2008
Tracks: 20 Pool of Users recorded the soundtrack to the film "Scared Yet?" after seeing two of acclaimed German grindhouse director Dieter Von ScheiÃehaus' earlier films, "Sterben Sie Sie SoÃe-Spanferkel" (translation "Die You Gravy Sucking Pig") and "Die Schwesternschaft des Reisens Lederhosen" (The Sisterhood of the Travelling Lederhosen). The story of a passive aggressive ventriloquist grandmother and her demonic dummy (think Cocoon meets Magic), "Scared Yet?" is a movie the Pool was born to score. |
