Band Bio
We're x69, a Pop Punk band from Western MA. As you can tell we are highly influenced by Blink-182, Sum 41 and +44. We are also influenced by Green Day, Yellowcard, Rise Against and NOFX. We started out with Johnny and Craig jamming in Johnny's garage. We later found Ron who is a pretty sick bassist. He told us about a singer named Mikey in a Grunge band who was looking for a new band. We later recruited Brandon as our Rhythm Guitarist.

Of Comedy And Tragedy...

Tracks: 20 After the success of American Idle x69 returns with their 2nd rock opera/concept album, Of Comedy And Tragedy... which is broken down into 2 acts Intro: (Tracks 1 & 2) 1) Idiocracy (Intro) 2) Of Comedy And Tragedy... This is the story of Timothy and Tabetha, a teenage couple living in the littered streets of Holyoke, MA. They are living in poverty and are both miserable with their lives except for the fact that they have eachother. Comedy is the happiness of being together and Tragedy being the misery and poverty they live in Act I: Comedy (Tracks 3-8) Timothy and Tabetha are sick of the forsaken, poverty stricken city in which they live in. Timothy snaps, he's sick of this life. He takes Tabetha and runs away with her far away; far from home where no one will know them. They run to a city and live their free lives. Free to do whatever they wish. They party, drink and begin to abuse drugs. Their life is perfect as they live together. That is until Timothy accuses Tabetha of cheating on him Act II: Tragedy (Tracks 9-19) After Tim accuses Tabetha of cheating, he beats her, and throws her to the streets. Lost and heart-broken, Tim struggles to put himself together. He begins drinking heavily and abusing Heroin and Cocaine. He soon loses what little he had left, and when things couldn't get worse, he tries to find Tabetha and learns that she was found dead in a river by a bridge. He falls apart. Outro: (Track 20) After writing a suicide letter and almost shooting himself, he realizes that there is no one alive that he can remember who would care about him. He returns home to find everyone is gone. His life ends in tragedy... Recorded @ TMTYTF Records |

It's the story of Damian as he runs away from home to follow his life-long dream. Disk 2 shows x69 in the studio as they record their biggest album to date. It shows the hard work, frustration and determination of the band throughout the time they recorded the album including the recording session of Eve "Cherry" Locaine. American Idle

Tracks: 12 American Idle is a more serious concept album than previous albums released by x69. Beginning with American Idle, the title track, it pretty much introduces the story to the listeners American Idle is about a teenage kid who dreams of becoming an actor and going on broadway, however is criticized by his family and friends who believe he will never amount to anything Dreams Of Broadway is a 7 minute long track that is broken up into 2 movements. It describes his dream and goes into the second movement, called "Damian's Demons" (Damian is the characters name) which describes the hazing in which he endures because of his dream. His teachers don't even believe in him, and punish him for bullshit reasons. The last part of the lyrics to Dreams Of Broadway are written on the chalkboard on the cover They read I will respect authority I will do as i am told School is not a democracy I will learn respect my elders I am but a fool among the wise Failure is not an option I will not follow dreams I will be the American Dream Mental Case, is about Damian finally snapping, rebelling against his parents wishes and planning out a journey to go after his dream.He runs away to the city Damian finds Devon, a guy who gets him into show business. He leads him toward drugs and parties. He fails his dream and gf Frankie-Ann After learning that his father, who abused Damian, dies unexpectedly, Damian decides that enough is enough. He must accept that his dream will never become a reality. Dead Are My Memories are about Damian's regrets and the memory of his father This goes into A Farewell To Forgotten Dreams. Which is a 4 movement song lasting 10:38. This song is about Damian realizing his failure and accepting it. He realizes the mistakes and the bad decisions he's made. He leaves what friends he has left including Devon, who later dies of a heroin OD. Time So Far Away reflects upon his journey as he comes home to the same old life he left behind. The story ends |
