Band Bio

Not the typical kind of band you'll find in Austin on a Saturday night, White Buffalo emerged from the Louisiana bayou when a mix-matched gang of New Orleans musicians from the Katrina exodus moved-in together in a auto shop outside of Baton Rouge. Now almost 3 years later, all 7 band members - Ricky, Ben, Marie-Louise, TJ, Emmett, Aliyah and Big Joe - have abandoned their FEMA trailers and hit the road on their first tour.

The 14 tracks in this recording include their cover of the western swing classic "Brownie's Stomp" (with additional lyrics dedicated to former FEMA director Michael Brown) and 6 new original songs, including "Ninth Ward Blues" from the new Katrina documentary and the underground hit "Superdome Song."
