Band Bio
Blazing out on a sun-stained highway, into the psychedelic desert from a dirty old town, The Electric Skull Grins, and kisses the plateaus, the cracked earth, the painful blue sky. The Devil is gonna ride tonight, and the Hunt'll have a soundtrack of greasy, dirty, diabolical doom. Out on Quinn's Plateau, Calavera Electrica come forth as the howl of a fed-up, fucked-up Ma Nature, all green spirals, bloody skin and hideous bloodshot eyes.
Vern Hymen (19, Vocals/Bong Bass) is a tornado of long greasy hair, hippie bandanas, and unwashed flannel, and a voice which sounds like the spawn of that chick from Acid King and Yog-Shoggoth. Her bass playing just sounds like Yog-Shoggoth. A wild-eyed, manic frontman, she gets to spew CE's hideous poetry (Not to mention the wicked spells...)
Marmalade (22, Vocals/Ganj Guitar) is a twice convicted pyromaniac. He and Vern met during a stay in a local asylum, they bonded during their break-out of said asylum, and they've been together ever since. With his absinthe green Washburn V, and his oozing sound, he calls forth all those sounds you only get from the depths, a sound like crawling through his nickname. With a Manson look and cyclopean riffs, Marmalade is truly "born too late".
Doctor Sadism (??, Dank Drums) is exactly as his name describes. Fortunately he channels those tendencies onto his innocent and unsuspecting drum sets, which have to be replaced. All the goddamn time. He drinks only coffee and Jager, and occasionally has to be tranqued and caged. He is said to have once bitten the head off a bat onstage, only to spit it back out, saying "Not rabid enough." and walking offstage.
They're all chicken fuckers.

She Bathes In Bud
Date Released: 12/20/2011
Tracks: 10 A spark in the blackness of night. Calavera Electrica sat atop Quinn's Plateau, stoned out of their skulls. Three pairs (well, four if you count the raccoon) of burning scarlet eyes looked upon the distance of the deserts and forests, furthur out, out into the realms of sadistic, twisted fantasy... And they told each other a tale. One obscured by writhing tentacles reaching for the moon, by arcane scribbles of a madman lost in a tomb, by a smoke haze, by crushing distortion. And as the madness overtook them, they reveled in it. They became the Lost Ones, who would find themselves at the castle door...somewhere in Transylvania... To be welcomed in to that smoke-ringed home at midnight by the product of Hammer-saturated minds... She, the Queen of Torture, the Green Mistress, Our Lady of Reefer... Countess Bongthory. And as the tale climaxed to the death of the Lost Ones, Calavera Electrica woke as a hateful sun rose, finding their skin crusted with blood, their eyes fine-cut rubies and emeralds, and their heads still swimming in a high which should have ended hours before... Calavera Electrica may never be the same again. This is their tale. CALAVERA ELECTRICA IS: Vern Hymen: The Storyteller, Bass Marmalade: The Spinner, Guitar Doctor W.Sadism: The Madman, Drums This story, and album, were recorded by Moshbot the Inedible, at Quinn's Plateau. The band would like to thank Ma Nature, for continuing to fuck them up in such a way that they understand her reality more so than their own. A GOOD HORSE RECORDS RELEASE |

Up Yer Dosage
Date Released: 7/21/2011
Tracks: 8 Filthy, sun-burnt and stoned out of their skulls, Calavera Electrica roamed down from their base atop Quinn's Plateau, with a swirl of psychedelic saturated pulverizing doom in their wake. There, it was soon to be learned, they called up the very soul of doom, with the shrieks of the damned and Black Sabbath's "Master of Reality" ringing in their ears. Smoke-swirled and diabolically heavy, from the riff-hewn pentacle, The Electric Skull rises, and smiles...and it's got all the right medicine... "Up Yer Dosage." CALAVERA ELECTRICA IS: Vern Hymen: Vocals/Bass Marmalade: Guitar/Vocals Doctor W. Sadism: Drums RECORDED AT GHOST PEPPER STUDIOS by Moshbot the Inedible. A GOOD HORSE RECORDS RELEASE. |

Pedal
Date Released: 4/19/2011
Tracks: 4 In honor of this auspicious day when Dr. Albert Hoffman took the first journey into the Kairos, we decided to whip up these little jams. Recorded live outside on Quinn's Plateau, while the sky webbed and crystallized. Fall In. Go Furthur. Happy Bicycle Day, to scumfux everywhere! |

The Alchemical Wedding EP
Date Released: 3/4/2011
Tracks: 4 So there was a cabin, right? Like, a cabin in the woods. We don't know how we got there, but there we were, in a cabin. Nothing but soup and our own urine to drink. Marmalade killed a bear and we ate that too. The skin lay on the floor attracting flies but we didn't do anything except for the Doc, who lit them on fire. There was also acid. There was a whole lotta Rosie, if by Rosie you mean Alice Dee. She took us for one unholy hell of a ride. This is the result. (last rites not included) |

Sleeping Giant
Date Released: 1/7/2011
Tracks: 10 From the blazing sands and desert caves comes CALAVERA ELECTRICA's equally blazing (though infinitely greasier)second album. The band fed on nothing but locusts, barbeque, weird fiction, and incredibly strong weed to create this hideous eldritch abomination you now hold in your hands. Play this motherfucker loud, but make sure you draw yer gawddamn magic circle first! Vern Hymen: Lead vocals, bong-bass. Marmalade: Ugly ooze riffs. Doctor Sadism: Smashed kits. Wake yer sleeping giant. |

Keep Calm and Carrion
Date Released: 11/19/2010
Tracks: 3 First EP, badly recorded in a burnt out church's basement. We had nothing to do with the state of said burnt out church basement. Honest. |
