Band Bio

Nom de Guerre are not, by any means, a supergroup. A supergroup is generally comprised of various members from a variety of bands. Nom de Guerre is comprised of many members, but of only two unique bands: Fait Accompli and Eccentric Arcade.

After collaborating on the track "Rust & Mildew", Arcade and Fait knew they had something together. The bands formed an instant bond in the studio and immediately began planning a co-headlining tour. After many setbacks, both bands finally set out on the road for the infamous Xenophilia Tour; a twenty city tour that had it's incredible final show in Toronto, Ontario, CA. Rather than end the tour just like every other show, Fait and Arcade took the stage together to perform each other's music as one massive group. After the success of the tour, Fait and Arcade knew it wasn't the end of their musical relationship.

"We knew we had to do something together again," says Arcade frontman Riki Milligan, "Even after playing together every night for over a month, we just weren't ready for it to end." Ideas began to form. It was decided that simply working together on another song just wasn't enough. It had to be something on a grander scale. Thus Nom de Guerre was born. Comprised of each and every member of Fait Accompli and Eccentric Arcade, Nom de Guerre promises to contain the best of both bands without sounding too familiar. "We didn't want the band to sound like a more drawn out version of 'Rust & Mildew'," says Milligan, "We wanted it to be something entirely different. It has all the best qualities of both bands, but it doesn't sound like anything we've ever done before."

But doesn't having an eight piece group make things difficult? "Amazingly enough, it doesn't," says Milligan, "You would think it would be a too-many-cooks scenario, but it just creates this incredible well-rounded sound. It's just beautiful."

Nom de Guerre's debut EP "Pictures of Oxygen" contains six all new tracks, as well as a rendition of the Prince song "Controversy". As of now, there's no telling if this will be Nom de Guerre's one and only release, but the band is hopeful that the EP will satisfy listener's cravings.

"Pictures of Oxygen" will be in stores 12/08/09.

I Know What You Are

Date Released: 10/19/2010   Tracks: 1
Sales: 10   Listens: 19

In light of the recent increase in tragic suicides stemming from cowardly bullying, Eccentric Arcade/Fait Accompli hybrid, Nom de Guerre, has returned. The new single, "I Know What You Are", is aptly described by Aaron O'blivion as "Aggro-Amalgam with unexpected orchestral notes." The single is undeniably angry, with crunching guitars and drum patterns that will stutter your heartbeat; but the soft, sweet sounds of the orchestra poke through like rays of hope. It's time to stand up!

Nom de Guerre, the side project comprised of the members of Eccentric Arcade and Fait Accompli, release their debut EP "Pictures of Oxygen". Nom de Guerre is unlike anything Fait or Arcade have released previously, yet is the perfect combination of everything that makes these bands great. Featuring six brand new tracks and a unique version of the Prince song "Controversy", "Pictures of Oxygen" is an EP that deserves a place in your c-d collection.
