Band Bio

[ Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity the boundless Solomon X. Lambert, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

He has heard messages from places not on this planet.

Into the lands of civilization came Solomon, swarthy, slender, and sinister, always buying strange instruments of glass and metal and combining them into instruments yet stranger. He spoke much of the sciences of electricity and psychology and gave exhibitions of power which sent his spectators away speechless, yet which swelled his fame to exceeding magnitude.

[not much is known-or released to the public-about Solomon X. Lambert. he prefers to remain cryptic and anonymous, playing his shows in dimly or unlit venues to conceal his identity. his point of origin is unknown as he has claimed to be from everywhere including Egypt and New York. he was discovered by RA Records via a poorly recorded audio cassette of a gig Solomon had played in New Orleans. the tape arrived at RA Records in a blank manila envelope with a small scrap of paper which, in a clumsy scrawl, said "i am the last...i will tell the audient void". despite the poor quality of the recording it was enough to immediately grab the attention of the head of RA Records and Eccentric Arcade frontman Riki Milligan. after weeks of attempting to locate Solomon X. Lambert, Milligan was able to arrange a meeting with Solomon in a dark tea shop in Amsterdam. Solomon wore a suit, tie and black silk mask and had a table prepared in the darkest corner of the shop. Milligan brought with him a contract, bound and determined to sign Solomon to RA Records. "Solomon's unique combination of everything from heavily distorted guitars and circuit bent keyboards to wooden flutes and Aeolian wind harps is everything we wanted to bring to the table at RA Records," says Milligan, "He's creating a mythos...and we want to help him create that."]

Ex Oblivione

Date Released: 6/15/2010   Tracks: 10
Sales: 15   Listens: 34

Solomon X. Lambert continues to build his mythos with his long awaited sophomore album, "Ex Oblivione". Lambert's follow up to his debut album, "The Whisperer in Darkness", still treads in the same waters, but begins to wade further into the deeper, darker parts. Lambert's signature use of unusual and often unheard of instruments is ever present, most notably the use of a bazantar on "Under Strange Stars". Produced by Riki Milligan All songs by S. The Whisperer in Darkness

Date Released: 7/15/2009   Tracks: 11
Sales: 12   Listens: 29

Solomon X. Lambert makes a strong and strange debut with "The Whisperer in Darkness". Discovered by RA Records, Solomon pushes the boundaries of music so far that he is in an entirely new realm of his own. Using everything from harp guitars to crystal water glasses to carefully construct and deconstruct his music, he weaves stories of an unknown time and place. Inspired greatly by the work of author H.P. Lovecraft, Solomon X. Lambert will have you thinking(and listening)twice.
