Band Bio
The Forgotten Falling was originally a side project between Post-Hardcore band Sanguine Symphony and Gothic Metal band Whispers to the Fallen. At first they sounded just like the equation states: Shred guitars and gothic nihilism blends with double-pedal drums and heart wrenching vocals. When Yumishi Rei joined, the sound took on a trance vibe, with some electric beats, and keyboards both ambient and lead, starting their foray into progressive metal. This sound compelled them to the top of the charts, as album after album displayed the band's evolving maturity.
Now, the band's mission is to create an experience through heavy, melodic, innovative metal combined with a strong gothic/cyber visual appearance and art style. Instead of splitting focus between melody and heaviness, the band combines them both into one, cohesive soundscape like no other.
The band was conceived by Fallen Records as a simple idea: Take the two terrific guitarists from Whispers to the Fallen and add them to Sanguine Symphony. The first album had a more post-hardcore sound and was recorded and released to good sales.
After the first two albums, guitarist Virgil Levli left the band to go back to Whispers to the Fallen exclusively. In retaliation, Miyako Rei left Whispers to the Fallen to stay with The Forgotten Falling. This caused a communication issue among the band, since Miyako only knew how to speak Russian and Japanese, and Virgil was the only member that knew Russian, aside from Malcolm Smith who only knew very simple Russian.
A few days later, Miyako's younger sister Yumishi, who spoke fluent English joined the band as a keyboardist. Spurred on by a new sound, the band continued work on their new album.
This album was "This Is Sayonara" which would skyrocket FF into godlike status.
Since then, FF has climbed charts and toured the globe countless times over. Later on Malcolm left Whispers to the Fallen and joined for good as well.
Hayden Frasco has participated in two rock operas: Prime! And Censored For Your Protection (Live), with Miyako Rei as well.
The band wears clothing by Tripp NYC©, Dead Threads©, Punk Rave©, and Lip Service©.

Brief Member Bios:
Hayden Frasco was born and raised in New Hampshire, and moved to California when he was 15. He was picked on in school, being an introverted, troubled scene kid back then. He attempted suicide once, but luckily survived when Wayne saved him at the last minute. His experience haunts him to this day, but also allowed him to mature. He's the main song writer for both Sanguine Symphony and the Forgotten Falling. Presently, he's making music for the current gothic generation while his previous school tormentors watch him on TV. He frequently loves to state this with a smug pride.

Wayne Smith jr. was a tall goth in his school who loves the power that percussion instruments provide. He met Hayden in high school and due to his imposing physique, he served as a sort of guardian against bullies while Hayden wrote songs. He loves drumming and rocking out in general. He wears a cyber gas mask on stage adorned with UV reactive bihoazard symbols and tubing, and spikes.
Height: 6'1"
Hair: Dyed black/blue, long and spiky

Miyako Rei is the daughter of Japanese parents that emigrated to Russia after WWII as children. Her family's name was Reisukei, but was changed to Resnovich when they moved to Russia. Unable to decide which last name to use, Miyako donned "Rei" as her stage name as a homage to her dual identity. Despite her short stature and quiet personality, she loves to rock out and bang her constantly dyed hair onstage. She picked up the guitar after her parents demanded she learn an instrument. She began listening to Opeth and Children of Bodom on her own and thus her inspiration was born. Her style can be best described as a fiery combo of Alexi Laiho and Paco de Lucia, making her one of the fastest and most precise guitarists in recent history.

Yumishi Rei is Miyako's little sister. More artsy than aggressive compared to Miyako, she always preferred Mozart over Children of Bodom. After hearing of her sister's band-communication problem, and after perfecting her keyboard skills, she joined FF with zeal. She learned to enjoy hardcore music buy hanging out with the band, and is a bit more talkative than Miyako. When she joined FF, Yumishi Reisukei became Yumishi Rei.

TRIVIA
-Hayden attempted suicide by hanging at age 16. Wayne saved his life by receiving Hayden's final melodramatic farewell over the phone, running two miles in the California heat to his house, and performing CPR on the unconscious Hayden.
-Miyako and Yumishi's Japanese family surname is Reisukei, but was localized to Resnovich after their parents' immigration to Russia. While living in Russia they lived by Resnovich, and while on family trips and in boarding school in Japan they lived by Reisukei. Both sisters now go by "Rei".
-The band members all have varying views on romantic relationships. Hayden has had numerous relationships that have all ended in tragedy. One of which is rumored to be the inspiration behind the band's album "Silhouettes".
Wayne has been known to spend quite a bit of time with groupies backstage.
It is unconfirmed that Yumishi may be romantically involved with a member of a Japanese metal band, and also unconfirmed that Miyako may be involved with Yoshiro Kakuzawa from label mates Disfigura.
Malcolm has a girlfriend, Heidi, in England.
-Hayden once struggled with an addiction to Coca-Cola, and is an ardent fan of Toyota vehicles. He drives a 1993 Camry SE to this day.
-It is a known fact that Wayne, although an all-around great guy, is a terrible singer. Thus, he's the only member of the band that does not contribute backing vocals.
-Malcolm Smith entered a program in England designed to put bass players with bands. He ended up arriving at the Russian airport to join Whispers to the Fallen the same day Miyako Rei was returning to Russia on a boarding school vacation.
-Hayden has a gray long-haired cat named Smoky. Smoky has appeared in several official band vodcasts and on the cover of John Footrooster and the Blackmail Boys' album "Kitteh".
-Miyako struggles with English, while Yumishi speaks English quite well. Both sisters speak Russian as a natural language, but consider Japanese their first language. When asked about their nationality, the sisters consider themselves to be Japanese, though they often used Russian as a code language to communicate secrets to one another as children while in Japan for school.
-Malcolm Smith and Wayne Smith II, despite having the same surname, are not related.

Like A Thousand Wounds [Single]
Date Released: 12/19/2012
Tracks: 1 Like A Thousand Wounds is dedicated to the tragedy of Sandy Hook elementary in Connecticut. Despite being on tour, the band wrote and recorded the track in a single night, then uploaded it for free download to all their fans. "This song isn't about profit," says Hayden Frasco, "This song is about respect. This is our way of giving the victims an honorable requiem. This is to honor those lives, and say that even if we're on tour, or rocking out, or doing whatever we're doing, we're listening, and their deaths struck us like a thousand a wounds." The song is a powerful rocker with a mournful chord progression. Hayden delivers most of his vocals in a clean style, while his screams hold the pain of every death that day. Near the end of the song, Miyako plays a solo where she becomes one with her instrument, channeling her heart straight into the strings before the song fades out with bittersweet keys giving way to the sound of rainfall. __________ Written and recorded by the Forgotten Falling Vocals, guitar- Hayden Guitar, bkg vocals- Miyako Bass, bkg vocals- Malcolm Synth, keys, bkg vocals- Yumishi Drums- Wayne "To the victims and families of Newton, Connecticut: Rest in the stars. In our hearts, you are forever." -FF |

Beyond The End Of The World
Date Released: 4/13/2012
Tracks: 13 After pursuing other interests for a time, FF entered their studios creatively rejuvenated to create the album they were destined to make. The Forgotten Falling presents: Beyond The End Of The World. Blending the bands' cyber-goth aesthetics with the abstract mystery of what lies beyond, Beyond the End of the World is a new frontier. The songs have been built differently than the rest of FF's entire discography, drawing influence from trance, death metal, thrash metal, progressive metal, and orchestral music. A full orchestra and choir were used in addition to the pre-existing band lineup. Hayden Frasco practically plays the studio as an instrument itself, layering the album so deep that to try and pick a song apart track by track would cause mental overload. The guitars are deep, loud, and cutting, with Miyako's blazing solos taking center-stage. Wayne's drums have never sounded more aggressive, with punchy, loud bass and a mean snare drum. Malcolm's bass is felt as it grooves the riffs along through the entire journey. Yumishi's keys are layered and blended with the orchestra countless times, creating an atmosphere more surrounding, oppressive, and captivating than the deepest abyss. Hayden has polished his vocals to perfection, delivering an aggressive snarl somewhere between a growl and a shriek, or soaring, massive clean vocals. The band's sound is heavy and oppressive, even frightening at times, but also inspiring and powerful, just like the bold new steps of their journey beyond. "We've watched it all decay" ____________________ -Written, produced, and recorded by The Forgotten Falling -Mixed and mastered by Hayden Frasco -Orchestral and choir recording done at Berklee college of music, Boston MA -All instruments tracked at (Los Angeles) California, USA and (Shibuya) Tokyo, Japan Guest solo on track 4 by Lilith Lead vocals, guitars - Hayden Lead guitars, vocals - Miyako Keys, vocals - Yumishi Bass, vocals - Malcolm Drums - Wayne |

End Of Days - EP
Date Released: 4/10/2012
Tracks: 5 The release of Mass Effect 3 on March 6, 2012 concluded one of the most epic videogame series' of the new millennium. In honor of Commander Shepard's war to save the galaxy from the Reapers, The Forgotten Falling wrote and recorded this original five-song EP. The songs tell the story of the largest war the galaxy has ever seen. "We're all huge Mass Effect and BioWare fans," says Hayden Frasco of the band, "We all have countless playthroughs of all the Mass Effect games, and the Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic games too. We want to pay tribute to the epic story of Mass Effect." "Meeting The Enemy..." is a recounting of total destruction as an entire fleet fights hopelessly against the Reapers, while "Counted Amongst The Dead" is from the point of a lone survivor as he lies wounded on the surface of a world in flames. "Keelah Se'lai" is Yumishi, alone with a piano, her skills, and this moving, original piece written by her. ________________ All songs written, produced, and recorded by The Forgotten Falling Lead vocals, guitar- Hayden Lead guitar, vocals- Miyako Keyboards, vocals- Yumishi Bass, vocals- Malcolm Drums- Wayne Mass Effect is created by BioWare. They're awesome. |

Silhouettes
Date Released: 11/26/2011
Tracks: 14 FF returns with Silhouettes, the latest epic in their quest to revolutionize sound. Silhouettes finds FF further blurring the lines between the brutal and the melodic; trance and metal; and examining the lyrical theme of looking at a human being in their simplest form, their silhouette. No clothing, fake personalities, or facial expressions to distract from their true essence. And when humans face challenges such as greed, desire, social standing, and honor, the album brings to bear how black we really are inside. The keyboards in "Silhouettes" are more symphonically focused and are less trance-based, though programmed beats and synth-wave pads still appear frequently. Djenty 7-string guitars and 5-string basses are played tuned in drop B, and Hayden puts slightly more emphasis on powerful clean vocals than before, which still contrast with his harsh screams. The album is based around two lovers, Jack and Rebecca. Deeply in love, their relationship will face trials of greed, temptation, jealousy, and honor that no humans should ever have to endure. But their battle, their stand, will be legendary. Their love will endure eternity, even if they have to gaze into the very face of human evil... and the darkness inside themselves as well. _____________________________________________________ Produced, recorded and mixed by The Forgotten Falling Vocals, guitars, programming- Hayden Frasco Guitars, backup vocals- Miyako Rey Bass, backup vocals- Malcolm Smith Drums- Wayne Smith II Keys, backup vocals- Yumishi Rey Additional programming and production by X and N.E.O.S. Guest solo on track 11 by Lilith Additional erhu on track 6 by Shizuka "Bathory" Mizuki Track 7 is a rerecording/complete overhaul of a song of the same name from Sanguine Symphony's EP "Ladies and Gentlemen..." when Hayden and Wayne were still in the band. |

Siren
Date Released: 5/30/2011
Tracks: 11 "Everything beautiful eventually dies One day this dream will wither, and embrace its end falling like dead leaves from branches high above into a lake of tears but for now this dream still lives, its heart still beats and as long as your heart beats with it, this dream may fall, but it will never be forgotten..." -Untitled |

Prayer for Oxygen [Single]
Date Released: 5/9/2011
Tracks: 3 The first single off the upcoming FF album, Prayer for Oxygen hits fast and hard. Synths are played on ambient pads, adding an atmosphere like never before to the entire album. "We referenced our work on 'Albion' and the Sayonara albums for the new one" says Hayden Frasco, "We're trying to take what we did right and push it further." If the single is any indication, the new album is a force to behold. Hayden's vocals soar, Wayne's bass drums pummel, and Miyako's leads tear the skies above. |

2.0
Date Released: 1/11/2011
Tracks: 5 The second of two rare EPs previously exclusive to Japan. "2.0" was released around the time of Aphelion. Its more recent release is the cause for the increased obscurity surrounding its existence, as well as the avant-garde style. Songs are highly techno influenced, even more so than on the original EP, with processed vocals and guitars. Track 5 was actually a B-Side from Aphelion, so it sounds more akin to what you would expect from FF, with mind-blowing instrumental work. |
|
Inferis
Date Released: 12/27/2010
Tracks: 12 After a long time away from the studio, FF's comeback album doesn't pull any punches. Massive melodies are still a top priority, but the tone of "Inferis" is darker and thirsty for blood. Miyako's unique Russian/Japanese accented female vocals are also very prominent throughout the album. As Hayden sings and snarls the politically-charged lyrics of "Cogs to a Greater Machine", the listener is dared not to headbang. Includes the previously released single "Liberator." |
|
Live in Tokyo
Date Released: 11/25/2010
Tracks: 17 The DVD and recording of The Forgotten Falling's legendary last gig on the Aphelion Tour. It was a performance to remember. The band put on a fantastic show, much to the delight of their massive Japanese fan base. In addition to featuring the first and only live cover of the Caramelldansen Speedycake Remix, this is the only non-bootlegged footage of Miyako shredding the night away in a very revealing seifuku sailor-style school uniform (Part of what made the night legendary). |
|
EP
Date Released: 10/31/2010
Tracks: 5 This ultra-rare EP was released only in Japan around the release of Albion. In contrast to Albion's melodeath emphasis, this EP focused more on the trance elements of the band. Interestingly enough, the EP was released by Cybercandi records, not Fallen. Therefore, not even X knew about it. He recently discovered it. After his initial rage, he purchased the rights to distribute the lost EP outside of Japan. Limited copies. Act now. Rumor has it that a second EP also exists. |

The Archives: Greatest Hits
Date Released: 9/7/2010
Tracks: 20 The Greatest Hits collection, but that's not all. On the second disc, the DVD (Also available on Blu-Ray) every band member gets an hour to his or herself to do whatever they want. Every part is different. They range from Yumishi's ventriloquism to Wayne's lyp-synching fantasies. Like every band member's own visual Facebook page. |

Aphelion
Date Released: 7/13/2010
Tracks: 15 By the 8th album, most bands know what they're doing. The Forgotten Falling's 8th album, Aphelion, defines progressive trance metal. Layered with synths, guitars, screams, harmonies, and drums both acoustic and electronic, and bristling with epic melodies, ambient breakdowns, and solos that would make any self-respecting guitarist cry, Aphelion will take you to the outer fringes of metal. And, as the 17-minute title track suggests, as far away from the physical Earth as you can possibly go. |
|
It's Never Sayonara
Date Released: 5/7/2010
Tracks: 18 The sequel to what's possibly the album that defined a career: It's finally here. The Forgotten Falling have combined elements of Death, Progressive, and Trance metal to create the most ambitious and epic album yet. It's divided into three parts. Part 1 is most akin to the sound of the original This Is Sayonara, shining in pop-hooks and smooth melodies. Part 2 is darker and heavier, featuring some of the most brutal material yet. Part 3 is when the two are entwined. Prepare. |
|
Albion
Date Released: 3/19/2010
Tracks: 14 The sixth Album. Most bands would settle for a "Best of" at this point, but not The Forgotten Falling. Everything they are is amplified full-force; the riffs are bone-crushing, the melodies can make angels cry, the solos are faster than light, and it all culminates in what's possibly the most epic opus the band has ever written: The symphonic, crushing closer "Children of Alma". Also includes the acoustic interlude "Sharon's Rose", the grand instrumental "Borealis", and the uptempo "Unleashed." |
|
The Forgotten Falling
Date Released: 3/8/2010
Tracks: 5 "This is some stuff we wanted to get out of our systems. Our sixth album is currently underway, and it is going to be one of the most awesome records to ever grace the genre. Wait it out a little longer, and it will be upon you. We love you, the fans, eternally, for your support on our twisted journey." "Special thanks to: Dollhouse in Black. Kamsa hamnida! Fallen® The president of Fallen®, X. You crazy bastard ;)." -Taken from the liner notes of this EP. |
|
Apocolyption
Date Released: 2/10/2010

Aside from that it's more of the stuff you love, and guitarist Miyako Rey once again proves that she is among the highest echelons of metal guitarists. Track 13 is a sequel to the song "The Nightmare" from their debut album. |

The sound of This is Sayonara makes a return here, as well as an extended version of their song Neo-Gothic Metropolis featuring Gravestompers to augment the guitar solo section. In short, synths sing, drums pound, riffs soar, and vocals lead it all in a melodic yet heavy-as-hell show of power. |
|
Harakiri
Date Released: 10/28/2009
Tracks: 6 The second release of FF with Yumishi Rey and with no Virgil Levli. The band doesn't let up when it comes to powerful riffs and awesome harmony, resulting in hardcore metal that's both fun to dance and headbang to. The tone is dark in a more brutal way rather than the angst of the last release, but the sound hasn't changed. And they know Harakiri is Japanese ritual suicide, but it still sounds cool. |
|
This is Sayonara
Date Released: 10/16/2009
Tracks: 12 After months in the studio trying to find a sound, The Forgotten Falling finally has it. With the addition of Miyako Rey's sister Yumishi's keyboards, FF has found their new sound in trance metal/hardcore. Fans needn't worry, for the band's sound is still here, just augmented, the only difference being a more metal influence this time around. |
|
Burial
Date Released: 8/3/2009
Tracks: 14 The second LP from The Forgotten Falling. Yep, they're an official band now. This album sounds almost the same as the last one, which shouldn't be that disappointing for fans of the last album. |
|

|
Untitled
