Whispers to the Fallen
"What bleeds yet has no wounds?"Genre Goth Metal Band Created 4/7/2009 Fan Base 37 Total Sales 102
A Northern-Russian Gothic Metal Band that aims to mix screamed vocals, blast beats, and shred guitars with an overall Gothic-fantasy theme.
Their singer can go from brutal screaming to hauntingly beautiful chorus singing in an instant, and the twin guitar cyclone of Miyako Rey and Virgil Levli is sure to get testosterone fueled teen heads banging to the war-machine drums of Jack Debussiria. Their live shows are some of the most energetic in the genre, whipping run-off-the-mill bars into head banging frenzies.
One day, a Russian juvenile delinquent named Dmitri Oskolov had been kicked out of school. This had happened on account of the fact that he liked to burn public places, especially those of religious significance. Before the police could bring him to prison, he changed his name to "Vladimir Sokolovich" temporarily to hide under cover.
Dmitri was simply a misguided, illegitimate child of a single mother and (**The father is unknown. Some say it was Satan, others say he simply spawned**). He had a dream, though: To start the best, darkest, gothiest death metal band the world had ever seen.
He wasted no time looking for members. His friend Virgil Levli, A.K.A. his arson partner, played a mean solo and rocked fangs... NATURAL fangs. Together they hunted Siberia for a drummer and found Jack Debussiria at the airport. Later that same day, at the same airport, the three bumped into Miyako Rey and Malcolm Smith. Miyako was coming back to Russia for vacation from boarding school in Japan, and Malcolm Smith had been sent from England to Russia to join some band that needed a bass player on account of some program.
After some minutes of discussion, a band was formed. Practices were carried out in Virgil's garage. Some locals occasionally watched the band, but none were record producers.
As fate would have it, Dmitri was walking back from burning down a church when he crossed paths with the soon-to-be president of Fallen Records.
Two months later, Tokyo "tour".
One year later, album.
However, as of recently, Malcolm Smith and Miyako Rey are with The Forgotten Falling. Virgil remained a solitary guitarist, but the bass was taken up by Seth Rodney of Sanguine Symphony.

Whispers to the Fallen
Date Released: 8/17/2010
Tracks: 12 The eighth album from Whispers to the Fallen is exactly what it sounds like. Afterall, it bears the band´s haunting name alone. The songs will creep inside your head and make you want to scream. Whether from enjoyment or dementia, that is your decision. This album has a melodic Black Metal vibe to it, due to the ominous organ riffs and Dmitri Oskolov's signature throat-destroying shrieks. |

Bloodsplitten
Date Released: 4/17/2010
Tracks: 11 The seventh album from Whispers returns to the sound of some of the early albums. "'Confessions' was really emotional and serious," Guitarist Virgil Levli comments, "This one is just heavy and in your face, not to mention it's faster and there's more shredding." Includes the demos released on the last single, now in the form of finished songs, of course. |

Suicide Bride- Single
Date Released: 4/1/2010
Tracks: 4 The successful single from the album "Confessions". Also includes a few demos from the upcoming album. According to Whispers frontman Dmitri Oskolov, the new album is "A lot less emotionally heavy-handed than 'Confessions' was" and "More like our earlier stuff; just pure goth melodic death metal. Overall, it's gonna be just more fun." |

Confessions
Date Released: 3/3/2010
Tracks: 10 The sixth album from Whispers to the Fallen. They turn it up with all the right licks, shrieks, and clothing to match... again. Nothing's so different that you'll hate it, but it's undergone a few slight changes. "It's the sixth album," Dmitri says, "By this point, it's evolve or fade away." The changes are noticeable in a more doom-metalesque sound, with a larger emphasis on Dmitri's clean vocals than his equally creepy death growls. ((Track 9 is pronounced CLOHS rather than CLOZE)) |

December Cult (Single)
Date Released: 2/3/2010
Tracks: 5 The first single of Whispers To The Fallen's successful album "Shatter." Featuring two new tracks off the upcoming album and two tracks live from the "This is Our Time To Rock Tour." |

Shatter
Date Released: 1/13/2010
Tracks: 12 The highly anticipated fifth album from Whispers to the Fallen... and they're not pulling any punches. "We were the first band to sign to Fallen Records" said frontman Dmitri Oskolov, "And we're showing the world why!" "With or without Malcolm," added guitarist Virgil Levli. The sound can only be described as a symphony of licks, thunderous drums, and falsetto notes and haunting melodies vs. brutal death shrieks, as all the while the D minor Aeolian and Phrygian modes dominate your ears. |
|
Walking With Spirits
Date Released: 11/7/2009
Tracks: 10 The first Whispers to the Fallen album lacking Miyako Rey, but Virgil Levli makes up for her absence by soloing twice as long and prerecording all of the rhythm parts. It's taken a long time, but they're finally back with more of the same. |
|
The War
Date Released: 6/16/2009
Tracks: 11 This is Whispers to the Fallen's third album. This is also their most ambitious. The songs are dark, aggressive, and creepy, seething with gothic angst and the power of metal. The symphonic riffage will have you worshiping the whispers in no time. Vengeance is the new Through the Fire and the Flames. This is The War. |
|
Purity
