Gorgon Zola

   Smells like feet

Genre Symphonic Metal       Band Created 3/30/2009       Fan Base 10       Total Sales 15

Straight from France, this collective of tungsten string players make no efforts to hide their fascination and addiction to fermented and mold ridden dairy products.
Gorgon Zola employ a wide variety of instruments to create their sonic palette. Though they are all adept in the use of conventional instruments (guitar, bass, violin, cello, et al) they have concocted some incredibly unique ways to craft sounds that give a dark, heavy tone to their symphonic reinterpretations. One of these is: the PianoForteMaximus.
For this device, the top has been removed from a grand piano, microphones placed under each string. Amp pick-ups are also attached to the back of each hammer and are plugged into a wall of Marshall stacks.
The PianoForteMaximus requires two musicians to perform. One at the keyboard playing the notation and one to pluck, bow and tap the strings from the top. This produces some extremely rich and dark tones that make anything previously considered "Heavy Metal" seem more like helium.

This is not just Symphonic Metal as much as it is Symphonic Tungsten.
Put in your earplugs and listen from the back of the room for the safe way to enjoy this music.
For the less faint of heart...crank 'er up and prepare for auditory bleeding!
