AlphaHistamines

   Ya Happy Yet?

Genre Industrial       Band Created 3/27/2009       Fan Base 11       Total Sales 14

Not much is known about this duo. They began by manning the computers and noise machines at underground one-off mobile parties that roamed MPLS's Warehouse district before it became the trendy night spot it is today. They have been described as "Happy Industrial", an enormous incongruity to be sure, but as long as the meds don't wear off it works.
Atonal noise jockeys for position amongst some of the catchiest riffs and hooks any pop artist ever achieved. The beats are frenetic and all designed by the computer module, "RMP/BST2000". Logarithms are input and the module performs complex equations based on the input. This culminates in some of the most off-putting beats ever.
Twisting from the pop focus on the hook, here the hooks become the canvas over which the noise is brushed. And these guys apply layer after layer until the canvas is only a texture underneath the art.

(best enjoyed in large doses while staring at a blank white wall)

"don't go where the puck is..."

AlphaHistamines have completed work on a new album of hockey related noise jams just in time for the start of the 09' NHL season. Already being nicknamed "the Hermit" by locals who saw leaked versions of the cover, this disc is full of Zeppelin samples and found sounds from the rink along with all the usual noise.

Look for "...go where it's going" to be released soon

Concept Album Contest

AlphaHistamines are excited to announce their 3rd place finish in the Figment concept album contest! "the Boots of Sharpened Blades" was put together through their mutual love of the Sport of the Gods (Hey, it IS Minnesota!) and was a labor of love for the duo.
They plan to roll the winnings into the production of their next album.

The Cup Runneth Over!

AlphaHistamines are pleased to announce that they have been approached by several NHL teams about purchasing the rights to use tracks from "the Boots of Sharpened Blades" in their arenas during time outs. This is mind boggling as it is not typical "jock rock", though their love of the game is evident even through all the noise. Perhaps next time you hear "He shoots! He scores!" it will be followed by "the 10 Minute Mark (Now You've Got Bedlam)" instead of the tired old Gary Glitter tune!

To honor the start of the race for Lord Stanley's Cup comes this disc of hockey soundscapes from the happy industrialists. It drops the puck with "the 10 Minute Mark" & closes with an ode to Gordy Howe (a reworking of the Beatles "Revolution #9"). When the Gods of Frost came down from the frozen hinterlands to survey the games of Man, they gave to him sticks and pucks. But the greatest of these gifts bestowed... the Boots of Sharpened Blades for so Man could fly upon the frozen pond.
