Protocol

   Wave the particles your way

Genre Electronic       Band Created 2/14/2008       Fan Base 8       Total Sales 9

A band of seeemingly epic significance. Protocol can trace there roots back over 200 years to the very beginnings of electronica. Without these pioneers of rhythm and power, protocol would never have existed. However we have to look much closer to the present to really see where protocol came from. A revolution of not just music but the rules of how music was taking place. No more was it to be controlled by the man. People themselves became nodes. Suddenly without warning the world was changing, power was decentralising. To what extent nobody could tell but it was out of this rush that new electronica was born and at the same time helped to create. Drawing on the early forefathers such as http, ftp and dns, protocol alongside there famed production team RFC sought to "fuse" these early sounds into a defining representation of the moment. Protocol have been described as taking new electronica and "boiling down to the essential parts".

Back in Sync

After the recent tour fiasco, Protocol is pleased to annouce the release of their brand new album. Bristling with indignation to all those lightweight options our there it frizzles and cracks through 45 mins of complex melodies, individual pieces that nevertheless create one hell of a 'hole

UDP

Date Released: 2/14/2008   Tracks: 9

A simple message based EP. All the tracks are unconnected and yet when listened to merge together to form some stream of conciousness
