Eccentric Arcade
Genre Amalgam Band Created 3/22/2009 Fan Base 35 Total Sales 162
October 2007 saw the beginning of future genre-hoppers Eccentric Arcade consisting of vocalist Riki Milligan, bassist Marcus Finch, guitarist Fernando "Ferny" Juarez and hired gun drummer Brian Carver. Milligan, Finch and Juarez had been friends for years, and had tried their hands in several short lived bands in their younger days. Even the ideas of Milligan and Finch forming a band together, or even Milligan and Juarez had been floating around in previous years, but never came to fruition. Finally one day the trio decided "What's keeping us from actually making it happen?". Eccentric Arcade was born.
After gaining a small following in their Southern California home, Arcade was signed to Dark Rain Records to release their self titled debut album. The album was an overnight success and quickly launched Arcade into the spotlight with their infectious hooks and unforgettable lyrics. The band has stated from the beginning "We didn't start this band with a precise direction that we wanted to take, we wanted to be all over the map, and appeal to every style and taste." Arcade prefers to be labeled "Amalgam" which compliments their melting pot music style. Milligan is a huge fan of bands like Queen and Blue October, as well as a self proclaimed Juggalo(ICP fan), while bassist Marcus Finch gravitates more towards acts like The Killers and Third Eye Blind. Ferny Juarez is the resident metal-head with a taste for reggae, and Brian Carver brought his love for the drumming styles of groups like Slipknot.
Arcade's self titled debut album covered all ends of the spectrum with songs like the hit single "Judgment", reminiscent of Papa Roach, and the follow up pop laced screamo single "Mouthful of Blood". But, it was Arcade's sophomore album, "Machines Again", that really put them on the map. Produced by ex Nine Inch Nails drummer Chris Vrenna, "Machines Again" took all the genres people have come to know, beat them to a pulp, and left them in the rain to rust. The first single, a melodic but driving post-apocalyptic lullaby, "Rust and Mildew" featuring Aaron O'Blivion of Fait Accompli, dominated radio waves along with it's follow up, the fan favorite, "The Ballad of Sasparilla Jones". After the success of "Machines" the boys of Eccentric Arcade were officially dubbed pioneers of the industry.
Soon after the release of "Machines Again" Arcade decided they wanted a hand in helping discover some of the unknown talent hiding in the clubs and garages of the world and formed RA Records. RA quickly signed on German black metal gods The Dark Brotherhood, and gothic heralds Fait Accompli. They have since added acts such as the arcane Solomon X. Lambert, goth-techno princess Lady Annabel, and country singer Tucker Jackson. Arcade's third album, "Technicolor Yawn", was their first release on the RA label.
Shortly after the release of "Technicolor Yawn", Arcade's drummer Brian Carver decided to leave the band in order to concentrate on starting a family. He had proposed to his longtime girlfriend during the recording of "Machines Again", and the wedding was set to take place only months after the release of "Technicolor Yawn". Before he handed in his sticks for good, Arcade was invited to take part in the biggest music festival since Woodstock, created by Dad Metal innovator Big Poppa, known as Fiestaval. This would be Brian's farewell show. Arcade has since welcomed long time friend of the band, Zach Thomas, who draws his inspiration from classic rock acts like Boston and Toto.
After wrapping up The Xenophilia Tour with RA Records label mates, Fait Accompli, Arcade and Fait's respective front men began discussing plans for something far grander than what they had already done on the road. "From the first time we worked with Aaron on 'Rust and Mildew' there was a connection," says Milligan. "And the bond between both bands out on the road was phenomenal, so we knew we had to do something else. But, it had to be vastly different." Eccentric Arcade and Fait Accompli soon formed a collective consisting of both bands, which they dubbed Nom de Guerre. The band released a seven song EP titled "Pictures of Oxygen" to rave reviews, but no word yet on a follow up.
Arcade's fourth, and most professional album to date, "Dropping Knowledge", went on to become the second highest selling record of their career. The album showcased Arcade at the top of their game, both musically and production wise. "Dropping Knowledge" also marked the first full length recorded appearance of new drummer, Zach Thomas. Not only did the album become an instant fan favorite, but it also spawned two of EA's most successful singles: "Don't Make Me Come Up There", and "Jar Full of Hearts".
"The success of that album, and it's singles still astounds us to this day," says bassist, Marcus Finch. "It was an album that we were all extremely proud of, and we had faith in the material. But, we never expected the response that it received. It's amazing."
News
Eccentric Arcade have recently unleashed their latest album, "The Album", which was recorded over a vast period of time between the band's stint on the Nothing To Prove Tour, frontman Riki Milligan's role in the now infamous rock opera, Prime!, as well as his production of Solomon X. Lambert's sophomore album. "The Album" is certainly Arcade's most thought provoking album thus far, and the band has announced the track "Human Onion"-a song about the person underneath it all-as the first single.
Eccentric Arcade have once again been hard at work in the studio prepping for their next album. Their last album, "Dropping Knowledge", was a huge success and spawned some of their biggest hits to date. Despite juggling Riki's commitment to the rock opera, "Prime!", and his producing of Solomon X. Lambert's new album, EA found time to record. The album is in its final stages, and will begin the mixing and editing process soon. The album is slated for release on Tuesday, June 29th (6/29/10).
Zandergriff Miggs has a vision of incorporating heavy elements of audience participation, much in the style of stage adaptations of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The official cast recording of the first two acts of Prime! were released earlier today in hopes that people will pick up a copy, learn the songs and come participate in the mind boggling, edge of your seat spectacle that is Prime!
Catch Milligan and the rest of the cast on May 14th at the Fitzgerald Theatre in St. Paul, MN!!

It is simply..."The Album". All music and lyrics by Eccentric Arcade except, "Latenight Lullaby", music by Solomon X. Lambert 2010 RA Records/Dark Rain Records |

Life Theme (single)
Date Released: 10/12/2009
Tracks: 2 Eccentric Arcade's first new song since the release of their album "Technicolor Yawn". "Life Theme" is a perfectly deconstructed acoustic/electronic chronicling of the day-to-day toils we call life. The track is beautifully structured and then broken down in all the right places so the music fits right in with the theme of the lyrics. "Life Theme" will be on Arcade's as of yet untitled upcoming album. This single also features "Life Theme" performed live from the Xenophilia Tour |

Rowdy All The Time(single)
Date Released: 8/14/2009
Tracks: 4 Eccentric Arcade's second single from the album "Technicolor Yawn". This bass heavy track featuring rap superstar Tech N9ne is an impossible to resist anthem for anyone that likes to shake things up. This song was carefully designed to rattle every window in the neighborhood. If you're at a party or just rollin' down the street with your windows down and the volume up, this is the track that needs to be playing. Parody(single)
Date Released: 7/20/2009
Tracks: 4 The first single from Eccentric Arcade's third album and first release on their own RA Records. "Parody" holds a mirror up to modern music and judges it, calling it exactly what it is: a parody. In an industry where every other band is lost among the sea of replicas generating the same thing over and over, Eccentric Arcade does what they can to stand above the rest. And they succeed. This single also features properly mixed and complete versions of songs from the leaked version of the album. |

Technicolor Yawn
Date Released: 7/14/2009
Tracks: 12 No genre is safe on Eccentric Arcade's third album and first release on their own RA Records. Bored with the turn most music has taken these days, Arcade has decided to show everyone how it's done. From the ground shaking bass of the album opener "Rowdy All The Time", a rap track with the infamous Tech N9ne, to the slow pop sounds of "Laying in the Sunshine" or the whiplash inducing metal of "Murder You Personally". If music today makes you wanna puke, "Technicolor Yawn" will cure what ails you. |

The Ballad of Sasparilla Jones(single)
Date Released: 6/18/2009
Tracks: 3 The second single off of the long awaited album "Machines Again". This song is slow and heavy all at the same time, a song about an old man the world has long since forgotten and who has long since forgotten the world. A victim of his own hubris, a prisoner of his own mind. This is the ballad of Sasparilla Jones. This single also contains the tracks "Plain As Day" and "Stay Away" from Eccentric Arcade's "Machines Again". |

Rust and Mildew

This song is further proof that Arcade refuses to fit into any one genre. Just when you think you know what's coming a song like "Rust and Mildew" is there to prove you wrong. |
