Tin Man [EP] by Let's Not and Say We Did

Date Released 4/12/2011       Sales 18       Listens 32

"Tin Man" is the band's first release of new material since making their music available on Figment. As the cover might suggest, this EP deconstructs the Oz character of the Tin Woodman and reassembles him with a LN&SWD twist. Psychedelic with a slight steam punk edge, the cut-ups of classics by Nirvana and America comprise the "heart" of this collection.

"Man it's been ages since I've listened to this, and it's still a personal favourite. Sawdust with Velvet saw me through many a boring commute to the city. Still in love with this band and still in love with this EP."

"Listening to a record by LN&SWD is like plugging in to a work of art. You get the impression that each track was laboured over for hours upon hours to acheive exactly the intended effect and yet everything seems so effortless, so utterly masterful. The decades of experience under the belt of LN&SWD has certainly gone to great use, bravo!

Also, bonus points for the Nirvana cut-up. Major bonus points."

"LN&SWD have graced us with some new tunes! The cut-ups offer a fresh perspective and nicely tie in to the concept which is greatly enhanced by the outrageous cover art. I really dig this EP!!"
