Shattered Circuits by Van Q
Date Released 3/17/2011 Sales 11 Listens 27
With the help of Hectic Electric, Van Q has concocted a mixed-medium message. Recorded on acoustic instruments, processed thru an array of analog synths and splattered with digital noise, Q turns old-wave Art Rock on it's head with "Shattered Circuits", a paradigm shift of sound and vision, w/CD-rom video art to accompany each song.

"Nothing in this production is uncalculated. From the cover art to the recording to even the aesthetically laid out track listing, this is a work of art from start to finish. Bravo."
FuriousGrace"Holy Pocket Sumo...this rocks!"
rikki"Firstly, the art work is FANTASTIC. It's minimalistic, chaotic, and I love the almost subliminal image of Q. I dig the lack of text on the cover, too. Secondly, the tracks are insane! "Heavy Meta" will blow your mind-hole, "Sunday Morning Afterglow" is like crawling out of a digital hangover, and "Get Up For This" will get your adrenaline pumping right along with the rhythm. "
frizbee"Van Q is an artist and "Shattered Circuits" is his newest masterpiece. Multimedia in the true sense of the word, it's impressionistic, abstract, absurdist, and yet a great example of realism, all wrapped up in one. It's an album that completely captures the fractured reality of our modern world, while pointing out the beauty captured in it's chaos."
Eric"The influence of Kandinsky and Klee is very apparent, but I think I detect a little Jackson Pollock in the splatters of digital noise..."
poppinfresh"I dig it."
