The Ecstasy Of Eternal Night by Kemia

Death - the passage from existence to nothingness. Kemia's latest 'The Ecstasy Of Eternal Night' may well be the soundtrack. Kemia is known for crafting dramatic soundscapes, and the entire album is a masterclass in atmosphere. The ear strains to catch hints of whispers wafting in and out among ambient noise and disorienting grinding riffs. The crowning achievement however is the closer "Non" - a drone "Two Minutes Of Silence". Never has nothing sounded so utterly oppressive and hopeless.

"DROOOOOOOOOOOOOOO)))NE
'Nuff said."
"I've often heard that the end is just a new beginning, but Kemia's latest album reminds us that it's not that simple. Writing about death can be the kiss of death for some bands, but Kemia transcends the cliche's and plunges the listener into nothingness. It's a bit of a shock to realize how alien it can be, but a revelation all the same."
Eric"InsideStonerRock.com While no one knows for sure what happens when you die, Kemia may well have captured how it sounds. Their latest release The Ecstasy Of Eternal Night is nothing if not profoundly disturbing. The ambient spaces between their sporadic playing are fraught with foreboding, until the ultimate descent into nothingness begins, climaxing with the positively chilling closer Non. Slip on some headphones, turn off the lights, and listen to the sound of the end."
javdoc"Out of Nothing comes Everything. Kemia take us outside the bounds of sound and deliver a stunning aural landscape in which to endlessly lose ourselves in the void."
