Vargsmal is the very essence of black metal, and the thundering double bass drum on Nightmare Pt. 2 left me speechless. "Death Before Enslave by Sons Of Carpathia is a brutal black metal album focusing loosley on Nordic beliefs, religion, and history. The opening track is a gripping intrumental with heavy keyboard tracks, with the closing track being the same. Every other track reaches high speeds, and often has a stunning dual guitar melody in parts. The only slower song on the album is track 4 with a much slower tempo and hypnotizing keyboard track. An incredible debut for Sons Of Carpathia"
