"I picked up this album while on tour in Denmark with Darkling and it blew my mind. Vargsmal is the very essence of black metal, and the thundering double bass drum on Nightmare Pt. 2 left me speechless. This album is a definite must-have, and the Sons of Carpathia have definitely earned their place in the halls of the black metal elite. "

"Great song titles and artwork! This album feels like a chill you can't shake off. I sense doom and bone crushing riffs. Keep up the great work. Dynamite debut."

"Death Before Enslave by Sons Of Carpathia is a brutal black metal album focusing loosley on Nordic beliefs, religion, and history. The opening track is a gripping intrumental with heavy keyboard tracks, with the closing track being the same. Every other track reaches high speeds, and often has a stunning dual guitar melody in parts. The only slower song on the album is track 4 with a much slower tempo and hypnotizing keyboard track. An incredible debut for Sons Of Carpathia"
