Fresh Underwear by The Cosmic Stoners

Date Released 8/12/2008       Sales 14       Listens 17

Originally released in 1994 on Bellevue Records this classic album from The Cosmic Stoners has just been re-released by the band's current label Shadow Box Recordings. Given the deluxe reissue treatment it so richly deserves the album comes with a pair of boxers or briefs depending on which version you buy.

Upon it's release in '94, the band explained the album's title as a metaphor for a new beginning, one the band clearly needed after a long world tour and a myriad of personnel changes.

"Well, I got an invitation, but you weren't missing out on much. The party was a total sausage-fest."

"I saw these guys open for KlaxinStacks back in '92. I still don't remember the show. "

"This is the one that really started the love affair for me. I still have my original copy from '94. "Boutros Boutros Ghali Miss Molly" has got to be one of the most underrated songs of the modern era. "Bright Ideas in a Dimly Lit Brain" is an interesting departure from the rest of the disc, but it is a side trip worth taking."

theHoseman

"I remember when this album first came out, what a moment! This reissue is a testament to the true staying power of this great band. I just had to have both versions."

maximusdeus

"Great to here these guys back together after all these years. They still rock."

RevSpike

"Not what I expected. However, I felt compelled to finish this album due to the addictive quality of the music."
