Warmonger by Crimson Eye
Date Released 3/21/2009 Sales 13 Listens 18
Crimson Eye are back with a new EP, 'Warmonger' [Long Bong Records], pushing the bounds of sonic mayhem beyond those set by their debut, 'Tenth Exodus'. While 'Warmonger' builds upon Crimson Eye's strengths, case in point the steamroller-being-molested-by-jackhammer grind of the mysterious instrumental "UNTS", it also broadens their range. The thrash metal attack of the blistering "Panzerfaust" and the complex structures of the epic 18-minute "Dread Legion" suite offering ample evidence.
Tracks
- 1. Death from Below
- 2. UNTS
- 3. Panzerfaust
- 4. Dread Legion: i) Iron Fist ii) Whipcrack iii) Unleashed iv) Backlash

"I bought this to hear Dread Legion. While listening to it, I think I died from the sheer brutality. This is one of the best EPs you can listen to right now if the thrash genre is your thing."
TheOldCougs"I was hesitant to grab an EP, but man - Dread Legion is almost a whole album itself! My ears still hurt, and that's a good thing!"
gmlumpp"only satisfying to the most devout Metal fans, this EP will mean nothing for most of us, but leave their fans wanting more. Great album cover"
eljawa"Love this EP! From the imposing front cover to the killer tunes this one's a classic! "
rikki"Hell Yeah! I loved "Tenth Exodus", but I new Crimson Eye was just building upon something...and here it is, "Warmonger" barges into the room like a bull. The talent and musicianship really show through on these tracks, especially "UNTS" and the "Dread Legion" suite."
